trusts to decide whether a coach meets the standard, who also teaches on the faculty
at Georgetown University's Institute for Transformational Leadership.
MEI is our Management and Executive Institute. Nayan Leadership builds the
instruments; MEI certifies the coaches who use them. Certification licenses
you to administer and debrief the Lens with your own clients, lists you in
the public directory of certified practitioners, and gets you Lens units at
the practitioner price.

MEI certification makes you a practitioner of the Ikigai Aperture Model and certifies you in the Nayan Leadership Lens, the assessment you'll administer and debrief with your own clients.
Dr. Dhru Beeharilal tells his Georgetown students the same thing every cohort: real-life coaching isn't pure coaching. What they teach at Georgetown is pure coaching, to build the muscle. Then you meet your clients where they are and bring them along to real coaching as soon as you can.
The Lens gives you a place to meet them. Your client gets something concrete to react to, and the debrief opens into the coaching itself.
The assessment happens after the program. You deliver a full Lens debrief to a real person outside your cohort, record it with their written consent, and submit it within 30 days. We assess the recording against a marker rubric.
Debriefing a stranger is a harder and more honest test than debriefing a classmate who already knows the model. And nobody finds out they failed after flying somewhere.
