SPEAKING
Hi my name is Dhru Beeharilal, and for over the past 20 years I’ve found that
success is more about MINDSET than SKILLSET.
Less successful leaders generally speaking have a mindset focused on looking good, taking credit and shifting blame when things don’t go according to plan. They tend to think of leadership in terms of “me”.
Conversely, more successful leaders have adopted a “growth mindset,” and tend to view their leadership role in terms of “us”. What can I do as a leader in order to move “us” as the team forward?
These leaders placed a premium on self awareness, open communication and developing new patterns of thought, that when combined with the intentional action, had a huge impact on their overall success.
And it’s these skills, as well as other insights he’s developed over the years, that Dhru talks about during his highly interactive presentations and coaching programs.
And of course Dhru believes in having a sustainable work/life balance, so when not speaking or coaching others, he enjoys all things creative, including photography, creative writing, and graphic design. A self-proclaimed nerd, he also loves movies and TV shows, spending time with family and friends, continuing his own self-awareness and spiritual journey, and exploring the world with his faithful K-9 companion, Hachi.
About Dhru
As a popular speaker, Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and founder of Nayan Leadership, Dhru Beeharilal shows Executives & Corporate Leaders how to get out of their own way and unlock the mindset of success.
Because in his mind, Dhru believes that there are a number of things that contribute to leadership and professional success – skillset, work ethic and resiliency just to name a few.
But there’s another element that he’s experienced both personally and observed with others that he feels is the single biggest determinate for individual and leadership success: Mindset.
Why is that?
Because how many times have you seen Leaders and Corporate Professionals who have the EXACT SAME skillset, work ethic and training as their organizational counterparts, yet for some reason one of them is leading a hugely successful, thriving and growing team, while the other – who has the exact same skills – is dealing with staff issues, turnover and isn’t delivering nearly as much value to the organizational bottom line?
Dhru has seen it a ton.
And in his experience that’s because the secret to Leadership success has less to do with skillset – the physical job skills, trainings and books that they’ve read – and more to do with mindset…how they think of themselves and others inside of their leadership role.

Workshop 1: How HR Professionals Can Effectively Lead Organizations thru the Great Resignation
Unless you’ve been living in a cave the past 2 years, you know that the Great Resignation is real.
Employees are leaving in droves, companies are struggling to adjust and everyone else is scrambling to keep up with the increased workload and demands being made of them.
So for today’s HR Professional, the question becomes, “What role can HR play in not only stabilizing the ship and increasing employee satisfaction, but also creating a culture that attracts and retains top level talent?”
Great question, and one that Speaker Dhru Beeharilal tackles head on in this fast-paced, highly interactive session. During this program participants will learn:
- How to identify the “hidden drivers” that commonly fuel widespread resignations, and what smart HR Professionals can do to shut it off.
- A surefire way to “short circuit” the resignation process, increase employee satisfaction, and attract – and retain – top level talent.
- How to uncover the hidden monetary costs of increased employee turnover, and how to communicate that in a way to Senior Leadership which increases the likelihood of securing additional organizational resources to stem the tide.
- The single biggest mistake most companies make, and how as an HR Professional, you can help avoid them.
- How to effectively lead and be more strategic, despite the current climate / environment.
- Have the opportunity to talk about “getting a seat at the table”.
Workshop 2: Developing the Mindset of a Leader
Have you ever wondered what separates high performing leaders from their less successful counter parts?
Speaker & Leadership Consultant Dhru Beeharilal has.
He wanted to know why some leaders have productive, thriving teams, while others with the EXACT SAME training, coaching and work ethic seemed to struggle.
Well after years of research, including interviewing others as well as the personal experiences of both himself and his clients, it turns out that the secret to Leadership success has less to do with skillset – the physical job skills, trainings and books that they’ve read – and more to do with mindset…how they think of themselves and others inside of their leadership role.
In other words, LESS successful leaders had a mindset focused on looking good, taking credit and shifting blame when things don’t go according to plan. They tended to think of leadership in terms of “me”.
Conversely, more successful leaders had adopted a “growth mindset,” and tended to view their leadership role in terms of “us”. What can I do as a leader in order to move “us” as the team forward?
These leaders placed a premium on personal self awareness, overall communication skills and having an adoptive mindset that was open for change and coaching.
During this fast-paced, highly interactive session Dhru shows participants what to do – and stop doing – in order to get out of their own way and be a more empowered Leader.
